About Picsplore

We are making a location-based social networking platform that allows users to see events happening around them. At its heart, Picsplore is a brand new social network! Our focus is on your local area, we want to show you what’s new and exciting around you.

For example, a band playing at a dive bar, a local carnival or even a house party, the possibilities are truly endless. The goal is to give you a live feed of your local area, allowing you to see what other user’s and friends are doing around you at the moment.

We want to be a catalyst to present users with a feed that spurs uplifting and meaningful interactions with their local area and those around them in the current moment.

What problems does Picsplore solve?

There is no way currently for an individual to figure out what is happening around them in real-time. Social Media of today does not reflect the spontaneity and the friend and events that a person can find around them.

For whom your Product/ Service is for?

Picsplore is for people who want to engage with their friends and communities around them to find new experiences and exciting moments. We intend to market primarily to college students and young adults.

What makes you stand out from the crowd?

Nowhere are you able to see your local community reflected into a constantly updating feed that is user-friendly to navigate. We provide the ability to see what’s the most trending bar, club, concert or any local event to be seen.

Any Achievements or Milestones accomplished?

• We have recently had successfully made it onto the Apple App Store, an accomplishment a year in the making.

What are your future plans?

• In the near future, we plan to add in video posting and a chat communication platform.

About The Founders

Thomas Jumper – Founder – Graduated from Adelphi University 2018 with a B.S. Finance.
Zachary Shaked – Founder – Graduated from Baruch College 2019 with a B.A Math and a minor in Communications.

We have been friends since we began playing little league together at the age of 4. We are family, truly brothers in every sense of the word. We eat in each other’s houses, we taunt each other’s siblings, we celebrate family celebrations, we even have an ongoing joke about who is the favourite grandchild by each other grandparents.

We look after and take care of each other at all costs. We’ve done everything together from our yearly camping trip deep in the Adirondack Mountains to our mid-winter hikes or 30-mile bike rides, to helping build Thomas’s house after Hurricane Sandy. We push each other, motivate each other and overall make each other better people every day. Together we can do anything.

We pride ourselves in building a future where all of our families will live together. Our dream always has been since we were young to work together and make the world a better place in any way we can. In any situation, we almost always have the same thoughts. We always find ways to support each other.

Most recently on a white water rafting trip, Thomas fell in the water and Zachary instinctively jumped in after him despite gushing currents and jetting rocks. Similarly while hiking Zachary mistakenly stepped too close to rattlesnake which began to posture itself.

Thomas quickly pulled Zachary away and created a barrier between the snake and Zachary. We are always there for each other, we care very deeply about each other and this is truly our dream to get to build something larger than ourselves together.
